yesterday i went to City Harvest with huishan.
we went with her cousin's cell group.
F.I.R came! :D

hahaha.
as usual, the praise and worship rocked.
and we sang the above song.
it got stuck in my head and i just can't stop singing it.
even huishan, who's like a devout buddhist, said that the songs were great!

afterward, F.I.R performed.
they performed a mixture of songs, from flyaway to san ge xin yuan.
so it was a wide array of songs from all 4 albums.
plus they shared their testimonies.
they said they came last year for Emerge!

ah qing said that before he accepted Christ, he was an introvert.
shy, nervous on stage, the whole thing.
but once he accept Christ into his life, his whole life changed.
he became more confident, he began to have more faith in himself.
he believed in himself, he trusted his voice, because he had God.
Amen!

This is the true power of God.
Nothing is impossible for him.

anyway. sitting beside me were these two F.I.R fanatics.
it's perfectly normal to be in love with F.I.R, they're so good. :D
but they were super rude.
because they came late, praise and worship had already started.
the minute they came in, they remained seated.
i thought, perhaps they just came in, they needed time to cool down and settle first.
but throughout the whole praise and worship, they didn't stand once.

it so happened that after praise and worship was F.I.R's performance already.
then when they came out, only ah qing and faye came, the two of them started screaming and stuff.
i was, stunned. haha.
yes i totally love F.I.R, but i don't like, idolize them or whatever.
they started waving their posters and their latest album.
and no matter what song F.I.R sang, they sang along.
no lah no lah, screamed along.
ugh, it was horrible!
bleargh.

after F.I.R's performances, they like. died.
for service, for pastor's acceptance prayer, for anything else.
they remained seated.
and during sermon, they were reading their magazines.
about taiwanese pop groups and all.
i was, like kinda disgusted by their behaviour.
this IS a church after all.
it IS the house of God.
and if i'm not wrong, they're actually cell members.
not newcomers to CHC.

plus plus.
huishan's cousin yiling.
she doesn't pray.
yes i'm serious.
because we reached early, so we went for the prayer meeting.
and they had this prayer list.
then a few of her cell members got together to pray, then she didn't.
so i asked her about it.
and she said, "Oh i don't pray."
i was like, uh? oh okay. LOL.
and then i was asking her about praying in tongues, and similarly she was like, "Oh i don't pray in tongues."
STUN.
hahaha.

but the message was real good.
here's the crux of it all:

Before you can be anything else of higher ranking, you must start from being a servant and serve others. Because in the end when you go to heaven, God isn't going to welcome you by saying, "Welcome, my good and faithful CEO." or "Welcome, my good and faithful General Manager." God is going to say this: "Welcome, my good and faithful servant." If Jesus himself can humble himself to do a job that only the lowliest of all servants do, which is to wash the feet of his disciples, why can't we?

Servanthood is the key to Promotion.
Servanthood is the key to Authority.
Servanthood is the key to your Destiny.
