rvcc camp DAY 1 :D
woke at like, 7 ._. so friggin' early. met meien in the canteen where she was taking her breakfast. i was carrying jiayu's HUGE bag, ahaha. i find it super useful. almost everything can fit in there. yup, almost. whee!

then slacked around with the other leaders and excos, coz we met earlier than the other comclubbers. went to prepare for camp. meien, mellu and i went with sophia to the pull-up bars beside the yr4s' container classrooms to hang biscuits for one of the stations.

adjourned in lt3 with the rest of rvcc, and we were briefed. then, camp officially started! ;D my group's called Arthemis! y'know, all our groups were named after the planets' "gods", then originally my planet was uranus (ur-anus), and its "god" was ouranus (our-anus) ._. or something like that, related to anus-es and such.

the first thing we did was to have this "mo4 qi4 da4 kao3 yan4", whereby the team has to get to know each of its members. we went down to the canteen, and each team choped a table. placed on the table are 6 cups: 2 of blended raw tomatoes, 2 of blended raw carrots, and 2 of blended bittergourd. super gross lah, in the morning when shuyinn, sophia and chengyu were blending, the carrots almost jammed the blender coz they were too hard ._. hahaha! the juices stank man.

after 15 min of getting to know one another, the excos will choose a team at random and pick out one member. they will then ask that particular member a question, and the member will answer. the excos will then ask the rest of the team the same question, and if the answer matches, then good. if the answer is incorrect, then the team would have to pick a cup out of the 6 and drink it.

so the people in my team were: songyan, bernard, zhikai, malcolm and me. but malcolm ponned ._. so there were only 4 of us. then the second round sophia called me up, and asked me for the 4th digit in my hp number. i forgot that we had alr determined each of us to be 1 2 3 4, then i said 4 when i'm supposed to be 2. i was standing behind sophia, so i was signaling 4 to them. it was painfully obvious and boo caught me :X i meant my signal. then zhikai went to guess 2 == and he was seated nearest to where i was standing can! at least bernard smart enough to say 4. but like wth, no use alr coz zhikai said 2. then when i went back, zhikai was like scolding me for saying 4. but hey, i've even given you the answer in your face manzxz ._. grrr. so irritating when people accuse me of stuff when i did zilch. HMPH. *indignant*

okay okay! sorry. moving on (:

afterwhich we broke up into tiny teams. there were a total of 9 teams, so 3 teams grouped tgt to form 3 big teams. each team is taken by one yr4 exco: sophia, lianghui and serming. we got lianghui! HAHAHA. so there were 3 icebreakers we had to play: splat, entangle, and follow-the-leader.

we started off with splat first. i suppose most of you know how to play. like, the middle person (lianghui) will splat somebody, and he/she will have to squat while that particular person's neighbours will have to make a gun with their fingers and shoot at each other and say "Splat". we played twice and both ended up with zhikai and raffles in the finals ._.

next was entangle! our group was super funny, no matter how many times we entangle and untangle ourselves, we always end up forming two separate circles. idk why either, weird. but finally the last and final time we managed to form a large continuous circle, thanks to a wee bit of cheating ;D HAHAHA.

lastly, follow-the-leader. it was super hilarious! we played two rounds. the first spotter was bernard, and the leader was the only yr 1 - weisheng. it was very funny, weisheng did simple actions like raising a hand, then we all had to follow and keep doing it. bernard was standing just beside him, but bernard was super lag ._. i think that's the best lah, coz if the leader's just opposite the spotter it's gonna be super obvious, so there'll be no point in playing already. in the end, he guessed wrongly, so he lost, muahaha. the 2nd round, lianghui was the leader and raffles was the spotter.

this conversation took place:
lianghui: raffles you be spotter.
raffles: okay. *walks away*
lianghui: *whispers* eh i be leader okay.
raffles: *from the side* okay.
lianghui: okay. *then suddenly realisation dawned upon him* OI WHY YOU EAVESDROPPING!

LOL it was very very funny. it happened like, 3 times, and in the end lianghui was still the leader. and his actions were super stupid! he started leaning his shoulder to one side, and then bopping. like, y'know, when you bop to a beat, your legs and hips sort of move along to the beats. so you're like, bopping lah. idk how to explain ._. then to change, he added his hand onto his hip. so all of us were like, bopping with a hand on our hip, which is super stupid. then to make it worse, he suddenly moved his hand to the side of his nose to make a digging action, so it resembles one digging one's nose, just that it's not literally digging. he looked super lot like phua chu kang :D HAHAHA. lianghui was super funny.

our group and sophia's batch finished early, so we decided to play lao ying zhua xiao ji. sophia was the mu ji and cornelius was the laoying, ahaha. then our line was super long, coz it was like 6 teams merged tgt. (sophia's so potent, lay so many eggs :D) but everytime we ran the line broke. so finally we had this very dumb strategy which worked! when cornelius comes, all of us chiong in one line across the track, instead of like a queue which goes behind, we form this line that stretches sideways. it was very funny lah watching everybody chiong tgt ;DD it worked leys and cornelius was complaining. ahaha.

then there were the stations. i won't say them in order coz i can't rmb which came first and i alr threw away my timetable.

first station was the multi-legged race. it resembles the 3-legged race, but instead of 3, it's multi-legged coz all the team members have to be connected. it was held in the hall. because the hall floor is divided into 3 badminton courts, so we have to walk the length of one court, then do 10 situps tgt, then walk another length, then turn one round, and walk backwards for the remaining court. despite having 4 members in my team as compared to edmund's and mellu's teams of 3 members each, we managed to clinch 2nd place! my team was super versatile, we started off waddling, then taking steps one-by-one, and then hopping. heehee ;DD HAHHA mellu lousy ;D saw francis and joshua and people practicing for youth day performance.

next up was leg scrabble. the group was supposed to be tied tgt around our stomachs back-to-back, so it's like the string encircling our whole team. then, scattered around on the ground were little coloured transparent pebbles with alphabets written on masking tape attached to them. we were supposed to move around as a group to find alphabets to make up "Infocomm Club." after finding the letters, the string is removed. the team then forms a straight line and the pebbles have to be passed from one end to the other using only the feet. once pebbles have dropped onto the ground, points are minused. so yeah. hahaha. it was fun ;D we dropped a grand total of 3 pebbles altogether.

we then went to the pull-up bars beside the yr4s' container classrooms. so yeah, biscuits were hung on strings, and each team member will have to be blindfolded. the member will then be allocated one particular hanging biscuit, and the leader will have to give directions to help the member find the biscuit in the shortest time possible. all the members will have to play, except the leaders who have to provide directions. mellu directed weisheng first. it was super funny! weisheng walk walk walk then almost fell, then coz his biscuit was quite low, so he knelt down and conked his head on the wooden pole. the sound was loud can! mellu was like, half-stunned half-frantic. other than that it was quite okay. raffles was given the lowest biscuit which was barely 10 cm off the ground. he had to lie flat on ground.

thenthenthen! next station was dodgeball! :D my team went up against mellu's team first, and we won. then it was mellu's team vs edmund's team. mellu's team won. then us vs edmund. we won. this should have made us the default winner alr. but then we were made to play against mellu's team again. then we lost DD: we could have won actually! but coz in the center was a line, if anybody crosses it, they'll be out immediately. so bernard and zhikai kena-ed, just coz their hands went over the line when they threw the ball ._. grrr. then songyan kena hit, so i was like, solo-ing there. then raffles threw a ball at me, i tried to catch it but it was too high and my hand brushed lightly against it. but as long as the ball touched you and you didn't catch it, you were out. so we lost D: grr!

5th station was this small amazing race thing. we had to complete a puzzle, and to get all the puzzle pieces we had to do little tasks. there were 8 tasks to do. the first was to get a pair of PE shorts. so zhikai ran behind the music room and took it off sia! HAHAH. songyan and i were like covering our eyes and running away. next was to do 50 pumpings, but it's the whole team altogether. so we each did like 13 only. then we had to form facial expressions for serming to take pictures of: sad, happy, angry, tired, and pervertic. LOL. the whole team had to do it together. next task was to do half jumping jacks 50 times. just lifting up the hands and clapping, excluding the jumping :D also, we had to get 5 compliments from other groups who weren't in our big team of 3 groups. so we were like running around. another task was to get all your team members to fit onto a piece of a4 sized paper and hold for 5 seconds. next we had to pass a rubber band from one member to the other using a toothpick. so common hor ._. haha. and the last task was to form "RVCC" with our bodies! :D our team completed first! wheee. btw the puzzle picture was an ultra unglam pic of gohserming ;DD

last station was "Run, Polo, Run!" i had to sit out coz my team had 4 members while the other two had 3, so yeah. but it's alright, during dry-run i had already played :D so yup. one person will have to take a polo sweet and put it through this plastic straw in the mouth, and balance the sweet while running/walking towards to the next person. then the polo sweet has to be passed without dropping, once dropped the first person will have to go back to the start and take another polo and restart. the second person will then move to the last person, who is sitting behind a plate, where the 2nd person will drop the sweet into. the last person will then run to the start and take a polo sweet like the 1st person while the first person takes over the last person's seat. so the cycle continues and the group with the most unbroken polo sweets win. my team was stuck at the first & second person phase coz whenever they transferred the sweet it kept dropping ._. so while the other two teams were already at their 2nd sweet we were still stuck. but in the end we tied with edmund's team at 7 sweets :D while mellu's team had only 4, coz whenever the 2nd person drops the sweet into the plate they keep missing :D HAHAHA.

finished up with station games, went back to lt3 for awhile, then went to bathe and wash up.
DINNER! :D oh oh oh, did i mention that we had chicken rice for lunch AGAIN? but luckily we had two choices for dinner: roasted chicken rice (._.) or charsiew rice. poor bernard got chicken rice AGAIN. ahahha :D

then came night activites! :D we were supposed to watch The Exorcist to like, freak us out so that during night trail we'll be even more scared, but L2M said that we weren't allowed to due to copyright issues. ah well. night activities consisted of: night trail, night reflections, and one mystery game called Catch Me If You Can.

our big group's first activity was night trail, so we explored the school. nothing scary lehs, quite boring actually. walked around classrooms and went to the container classrooms, and to the dentist van there, and hall backstage. y'know, at both sides of the stage in the hall, there's this door blended in with the wall? when you go up the stairs right, there are like several rooms with only desks and chairs. damn spooky leh, esp at night. then ziwei and yunzheng forced songyan and i to walk one round inside. brrr ._.

night reflection was mainly to reflect on the day's activities as a big group. ours was very productive, and raffles actually contributed constructive opinions! :D that's good, very very good. bernard was being crap as usual. but i'd say that it was one of the better reflection sessions (:

okay, then CATCH ME IF YOU CAN! we were all blindfolded, then we had to sit in a circle and listen to ghost stories. there were supposed to be 5 played, then the first 2 i heard alr. halfway thru the second one serming led me away to the piano LOL. at first i was like super scared, coz the group before us right, there was this guy called tiansong, serming made him hide outside leys! then he fake that he was missing ._. so i was trembling, then serming made me put my hands on the piano keys. hahah ;D he was laughing at me. grr. so i was like stoning there. until the people came to find me! :D WHEE. so then gohserming led us to find bernard, and the 4 of us sat on the swing, blindfolded and chatting about boring stuff. then halfway thru we could hear some weird sounds, but it was very obvious it was a recording == and also thanks to GSM's footsteps. LOSER. hah. :D so finally we were un-blindfolded and went back up to the LT.

had leaders' briefing, then another one with the non-exco leaders. wrapped up, went to sleep.
SILLY MEIEN WAS SO NOISY! kept waking me up! hahaha. naughty!

rvcc camp DAY 2 :D
leaders' were supposed to wake at 530, but i guess the excos overslept :X so everybody woke at 630. some year4s fell asleep outside on the track! i think yunzheng ziwei boo and some others :X had breakfast: bread + canned tuna ._. HAHAH. but the tuna was surprisingly yummy (: supposed to have telematch, but basketball was using the field D: so cancelled again. sighayeaye. had elongated breakfast time, then went back to LT to lag around. announced results of the previous day's games, the bottom 3 groups had to do forfeit!

meien's team, junkang's team and edmund's team kena-ed ;D they had to use their mouths and pick up lego bricks hidden in a plate of flour. so yeah, meien went first and her whole face was like, white as a ghost. HAHAH. pun intended ;D so after the forfeit, we played around with the flour, then had to clean it up ._.

back to LT, then i left early for drum exam. saw yuheng at the bus stop. then daddy fetched me to drum! :X

{start of drum exam}

went there early, saw delia! i didn't know she was taking lessons there too luhh, was super surprised. so she kept me company while i practiced, left only when it was my turn to enter the examination room.

so before me was another boy, i was waiting. he came out, and i stood up to open the door. as i was reaching towards it, it suddenly swung open and this guy, resembling albert einstein, went like, "HELLO! HOW ARE YOUUUUUU?" like, drama. woo.

cos to play my first piece, i had a cd so that there'll be accompanying music. then i had to operate the thing myself. i had to restart again and again 3 times! SO DIULIAN ._. but i did rudiments first. not bad lah.

so my first piece. i played the wrong track! cos for each accompanying piece, there are two tracks, one with a drumset, one with a cowbell. the cowbell's the one to play along to for the exam, the drumset's for example of how it's supposed to sound. so i played the wrong track, and i went too fast! IT WAS HORRIBLE :X cos there was a drumset, it was super obvious when i went offbeat cos if i played fast, there'll be this snare following my snare, so it's like, in my face x.x

second piece, the beginning i screwed X.X the first two bars were supposed to be bass, snare, bass, snare. i played bass, snare, bass, bass, snare. then instead of continuing, i STOPPED. i stun, and went like, "Uhm, sorry, but can i start again? Sorry!" omg, kristalynn you are veh shibai T.T so he went like, sure and i went again. then at the fill-in, i rushed again ._. GRRR.

sight reading was super easy. woooo. aural, the clapping thing sure fail LOL. albert einstein lookalike played very fast! plus it was in staccato. so yup. im not sure if the time signature was correct or not, but i think the rest of the questions went alright.

so twenty minutes later, IMMA OUT! ;D so fast eh.

{prayer group}

had prayer group, supposed to meet joshua tay and jiayu at outram. so i met up with joshua first, then called jiayu cos she was super late. turned out that she just woke up! grr! HAHHAA.

so joshua and i camped at outram, while ernchuen was alone at fort canningggg :D joshua wanted to BUSK at the station platform! YES, THE PLATFORM, INBETWEEN THE TWO TRAIN TUNNELS. omgsh! i wanted to like, not know him. HAHAH. he was carrying gary gu's amp ._. and he rly turned the mike on and attached it to the amp! and even beatboxed like, a few beats. i was seated AWAAAAAY from him with my guitar covering my face.

we were there for so long, ernchuen came from fort canning to find us at outram ;D and little miss late finally came! trained to dhoby ghaut where we met roy and cyrus and someone else! HAHA. lunched, and trained to commonwealth.

joshua cyrus jiayu and i were caught in the rain while walking to christine's church! so we were like super scared the amp and jiayu's mac will get wet :X but it was alright! :D HAHA.

wanting brought two sec1s, magdalene ( my junior :D ) and another girl dorothy i think :X
had worship, icebreakers, sharing. after, the guys went to play bball ._.
