hello people, i am back from church camp 2008 ;D IT WAS FANTANANANANANASTATIC! :DDDD
wait ah. I DECLARE THAT I LOVE JESUS AND JESUS LOVES ME! ;D amen.
okay. DAY 1! woke at like 5? ._. kiasu mom. went to fmc, ate porridge at maxwell. met christine, boarded coach and off we went! did i mention that at first my mom and i boarded the wrong bus? SUPER DIULIAN ._.
anyway! :D -skip skip skip- WE REACHED HOTEL EQUATORIAL BANGI! wheeee! :D turned out that before us was another church, and they were in the midst of checking out. so we had our camp opening first. followed by recreation!
recreation was super fun, we were in groups and stuff, then we played 2 games. the first one was called 'mingo', it's like the paper form of bingo but instead of collecting only one row, you must collect as many as possible asap. next we played this broken telephone thing. the first person is supposed to be told a song, then it has to be passed down to the last person. then the last person would have to sing out the whole song. so we had two rounds, one passing from front to back and then vice versa.
so we finished up recreation. they started giving out room keys, but christine and i were one of the last to get our keys so we sat around waiting and chatting about nothing. we finally got our room keys at like 5.50? then we went and changed into camp tee for mass phototaking!
IT WAS SUPER HOT CAN ._. but we totally monopolized the whole staircase, muahaha. from the bottom to the sides to the top :D
WENT TO OUR ROOMS! :D to bathe and wash up, then dinner. I TELL YOU, THEIR MEALS ARE NICE MAN. :D LIKE, NICE AS IN DARN DELICIOUS, WHETHER IT'S BREAKFAST, LUNCH OR DINNER. EVEN FISH LOVE IT. MUAHAHA.
alright! then, sermon #1: THANKING! coz our church theme is Thanking, Telling, Touching. here are my notes: -Thanksgiving is never natural. -We are never thankful as God's people: we forget how good and great our God is. TRUE THANKSGIVING IS CHRISTO-CENTRIC. IT IS CHRIST-CENTRED.
Thanksgiving is anchored upon the peace of Christ. -Let the peace of Christ umpire your heart as you live your life on earth. -Let the peace of Christ rule impartially in your heart and mind.
Thanksgiving is anchored upon the word of Christ. -How does the word of God dwell richly in our hearts and minds?
Thanksgiving is anchored upon the NAME OF CHRIST! :D
Those children who were born in a christian family and grew up a christian: -Their faith in God is only borrowed faith from their parents.
We always complain about having no time no time no time. IT'S NOT THAT WE HAVE NO TIME, IT'S THAT WE HAVE NO HEART.
The bible is God's love letter to us (: We NEED God to bother and trouble our soul because we are too comfortable in our own lives. -When the word of God becomes a part of our life, it springs forth naturally in songs of praise from the depths of our hearts! :D AMEN.
In everything you do, GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD. Whenever God touches you, it's NEVER for your own glory. SO GIVE THANKS.
Have you ever noticed that THE MORE THE GRATITUDE, THE LESS THE COMPLAINTS? & vice versa.
The things that take the glory of God away from us: #1 A complaining spirit. -Luke 17:16 '..and he fell to his face as he thanked Jesus, and he was a Samaritan.' WE NEED TO SHOW APPRECIATION FOR GOD'S GRACE.
#2 A critical spirit. #3 A comparing spirit.
Be thankful for what you have, rather than to be disappointed by what you don't have. BE THANKFUL AND STOP COMPARING WITH EACH OTHER.

Lord, I thank you that some have food but no appetites, I thank you that some have appetites but no food, I thank you that I have both food and an appetite, In your most precious name I pray, AMEN. :D === okay! then afterwards is group time, then end of day alr. christine and i talked for like 1 and a half hours about God and stuff revolving around him and catholics and muslims and lalalalala during our quiet time! :D after that she refused to talk to me coz she wanted to sleep ): === DAY 2! did i mention that hotel equatorial bangi's meals are fantanananananatastic? :D HAHAH. yup, breakfast. then i dragged christine out to see the fishes! OMG, THEY HAVE LIKE SUPER LOADS OF BIG FAT FISHES! it's so super cool lah! :D i let them suck my toe! they were very noisy man.
hahahahahahahahahahaaahahahahahhaahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha. then was themetalk #2: TELLING! notes: We are blessed to bless others.

-The fear factor. Verse 10 says, '..all must appear before the judgment seat of the Christ.' The judgment seat is a place of revelation and reckoning. '..each one will have to give an account.' It is a time of accountability.
EVERYTHING COMES FROM GOD! -We confuse our chain of income. -We forget that everything comes from God. God grants us a heavenly passport but we don't know when the expiry date is. That's why, WE HAVE TO LIVE EVERYDAY LIKE OUR LAST DAY.
People don't do what you expect, they do what you inspect :D God has placed us together so that we can help each other live a life without conscience.

FAIRFIELD METHODIST CHURCH IS BUILT TO LAST! It starts by living NOT BY THE PRAISES OF MEN. I am MAD for God! It is worth it for God! CRAZY FOR JESUS! :D
-The love factor. It has a controlling power. Let the love of God control you (: God has a love letter for us: THE BIBLE! The love of Christ for us: He died for us so that we'll have eternal and everlasting life.
WE EITHER DIE A DEATH IN CHRIST OR WE DIE A DEATH APART FORM CHRIST. If you don't have a relationship with God, who is your Lord and Saviour, you are dying a death APART FROM GOD.
We need to draw a larger circle of God's family! '..and He died for all so that they may live not for themselves but for Him who died for them.' START PRAYING FOR NON-CHRISTIANS! :D
IQ = Invitational Quotient! God is calling us to do what we can. He will do what we can't! :D === next was a workshop called I love IT. christine ditched me to go eat some cake with her brother! -angry- so i was like, falling asleep. :X it's mainly a panel of youths and parents giving their opinions on various aspects of computer usage, like blogging and gaming and chatting online.
LUNCH! :D their food is great can! grrrrrrrr wahahahah :D
then recreation! OMG THIS IS SUPER FUN. this time, we had to go on an amazing race. my group consisted of: the yues, the cheahs, the chungs, the lams, and the bais :D coz we were grouped by families. then we're in group 9: kamsahamnida. all the groups are named by "thank you" in different languages. there were 8 stations! so let's go one by one :D
our first one was this biblical quiz! the cheahs saved us manzxz. hahaha.
next we went to play balls! HAHHA. we're supposed to choose a person, then wrap with person's forehead area with masking tape. but the sticky part must face out. then within 1 min (can't rmb whether 30s or 1 min), that person will have to like dip his head into a bucket of pingpong balls and try to pick up as many as possible. so that person will have to keep dipping and sticking balls onto his forehead until time's up. timothy went, and it was super funny lah! :D we got a totaly of 23/30 balls! GO GROUP 9 GO! hahaha.
nextnextnext we went to play this soap game. hosted by alvin! HAHAH. each group is given a bar of soap and a small container of warm water. then we're supposed to dissolve the whole bar of soap asap. IT WAS SUPER FUNNY CAN AHAHA. so we broke the soap into small bits and pieces and distributed. then coz it was super soapy and slippery, bits of soap flew everywhere. then grace and i kept soaping each other. anyway, we finished real quickly!
next we went out to the poolside. our next game was to play this edited version of scissors paper stone! i alr played it at the class leaders' workshop, but it was still fun. coz the actions were different :D so, tarzan beats gorilla, gorilla beats jane, and jane beats tarzan! ;DD GIRLS ALWAYS WIN. then tarzan supposed to do this o-ee-or-o-ee-or sound, then gorilla have to like do this macho action and go like ho-ho-ho and jane have to fling the hand and say chiobu! AHAHAHA VERY FUNNY. we played against this other group, then they've alr been playing like 4 rounds plus++ and kept losing, so the invigilators let them off. then we played against the next group that came, and we won as usual :D so off we went!
our next station was the lemony goodness! we had to use our mouths to like bite open lemons and suck out the juice and then spit it into a container. plus no lemon flesh can be inside. LUCKILY ONLY NEEDED 6 PEOPLE AHAHA. coz there were 6 lemons. so grace, my mom, grace's grandpa, clara's father, timothy and his father went. the rest of us were cheering them on. CLARA'S FATHER IS IMBA, HE IS SUPER PRO CAN! in the end we had the most lemony goodness! :D as in like, so far lah.
thenthenthenthenthen. WE PLAYED THE FEET GAMEEEE. there were like, 15 of us? but only like 11 played or something. then they wanted only 6 feet. so out of 22 feet, 16 feet has to like float somewhere. but we did it! wheeeee~ they only had one round, so we finished super quickly (:
next up was another quiz on prophets and old testaments. finished up fast too.
FINALLY, OUR LAST STATION! we had to write our own song of like one paragraph. then we were given helping words. our words were: paint, heels, fervor, treat, blank. i think there's one word more but i can't rmb what, hahaa. so we came up with this which is really stupid: we will paint, with fervor, we will paint, on our heels, on a blank piece of paper, we will paint a treat for you! HAHAHAH. :D but it was really fun! we sang it to the tune of 'Let the flame burn brighter'.
AND THEN WE FINISHED! :D wheeee~ so end of recreation.
then was free&easy, christine and i went to feed the fishes with bread we stole from the breakfast/lunch table. hahaha :D
DINNER ;D was great as usual. then themetalk #3: TOUCHING! notes: If you had to choose one book in the bible to keep, while the rest all disappears, which book would you keep? Our keybook in the bible is Romans :D Romans 1-11: The God we are to know. Romans 12-16: The life we are to live.
Romans 12:1-2: the GAP will of God. Good Acceptable Perfect GOD TOUCHES US THROUGH ONE ANOTHER.
The church is characterised by a sense of community. It is characterised by a community of people who matters to God.

We are all different from each other. The path of redeeming our identity is not Appearance, Association, Affluence, and Accomplishments. It's not about WHO we are, it's about WHOSE we are. We are not just made different, we are also made DEPENDENT on each other!
God created us to be social beings. God has redeemed us into a new community. God commands us to gather together. God designs us to grow best when we're together. GOING IT TOGETHER, EVERYBODY COUNTS.
Live life recognising who you are. *nods* Be a committed member in your church; -Know and keep your station! WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME TEAM - THE LORD'S TEAM.
This community is then based on charity! -Family love. It begins at home. Our spiritual home. -Fervent love. Personal spiritual disciplines: Solitude, Study, Service, Surrender. -Faithful love.
Anything goes spirituality: -Fear of offense -Lack of yardstick: truth.

RECEIVE AND RELEASE GOD'S LOVE! This charity is forged by humility. -Avoid these two extremes: #1 Inflated view of self - I'm so good. This is a ME-centred religion. SIN PRIDE LUCIFER Their middle letters are all 'I'. We must all DIE to material things.

Without Jesus Christ, we will all be lost.
The sum total of Jesus's life was his RESURRECTION from the dead! He presented himself alive to his disciples! Jesus was with his disciples not for 4 hours, not for 4 days, but for 40 days! It was enough proof that he was ALIVE :D
He only taught one subject during his last 40 days on earth: The Kingdom of God.
3 things: -Salvation is in Jesus's name. Salvation can only be found in Jesus's name alone! -Salvation is done in God's grace. -Salvation is done through the holy spirit. DO NOT LET OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE GO THROUGH THE MOTION.
We spend monday to sunday moving and shaking our lanterns. But we live life without lighting up the lanterns in our hearts. BECAUSE WE STOP WALKING WITH JESUS AT SOME POINT IN OUR LIVES.
It's not about HOW many bibles you have. It's about WHEN you start reading them. If God placed a bookmark in your bible, where would it be tomorrow? Will it be in the same place for a long time? JESUS IS ALIVE! WALK WITH HIM DAILY!
The Holy Spirit has no military or magic power. But God sent it to be our counsel and guide. It is a spiritual and holy power to change and transform our lives.
When the holy spirit comes upon you, you will not only look good and feel good, you will also do good. The Holy Spirit comes upon you to be witnesses :D
Isaiah 43:10 'Before me there was no God formed, and there will be none after me.'
Our test to the Lord is our daily obedience towards Him. But when we obey the truth of God, that's when the transformation begins. 'Is Jesus Christ the Lord of all your life?' If the Lord is not the Lord of all, He is not your Lord at all. {Lord of all; or not at all.}
God says, 'Give you best and I will do the rest.' & Because Jesus is Lord, we give our best to Him.

We are very blessed to be in Jesus's lifeboat. There are a lot of people out there crying for help. BUT JESUS IS COMING AGAIN. :D Amen. === afterwhich had holy communion. there are 4 steps: -Look backwards in your life, what has happened. -Look forward towards your future, what will happen. -Look around you, your situations. -Look up to God, your heavenly father.
Then the youth had to go to another room for another workshop on BGR :D hahaha! was quite fun lehs, that pastor! wheeee! did you know that there are 3 types of love? #1 Raya - This is friendship or companionship, somebody you hang out with. #2 Ahava - This is love of the will, it is making a decision to join your life to the life of another, it is an emotion that leads to commitment. #3 Dod - This is the physical, sexual element to a relationship.
COOLIO EH ;D We were created for all 3 flames to burn as one. The 3 flames are meant to burn together. When you separate the flames, it can never really satisfy. {oooooooooo ;D}

next, free&easy! christine and i slacked the whole time. i think we're like obsessed with fish. no, it's me. i rmb the first day i kept trying to drag christine out to see the fishes, but she didn't want to so i made her promise to come with me the next day and from then on we kept going to feed to fat fishes every spare moment we had :D HAHAH.
then dinner :D and praise and worship. because this was our last night, we had mass revival. we started off with like an hour ++ of praise and worship, half done led by youths the other half by adults. then pastor sng talked a little to us, and set up 3 stations: Cleansing, Blessings, Empowerment. christine and i first went for cleansing. the person in charge there prayed a little prayer for each of us as she poured warm water over our hands.
next we went to blessings. the people there prayed for us, but they're short prayers, mainly for requests and stuff. hahaha i asked aunty edwina to pray for my studies :D GPA 2.8 LEH. DAMN DEPRESSED ):
then christine and i went back to our seats to stone. we sat there watching the people queue up and stuff. then suddenly, people praying for empowerment started being slain by God to the ground. they started falling to the floor and like weeping loudly. it was really really powerful. so christine and i went to queue for empowerment too, because we both feel like we've drifted away from God. as we queued, God started touching us and like we started crying. then at a point in time, i felt super encouraged to thank christine. so i went like, "hey christine. you know i'm really thankful for you." SHE SMILED AT ME, THEN I STARTED CRYING AND COULDN'T STOP! ahahah! then i was like crying and crying and crying, and i went in my head, like, "Oh Lord i really think i need somebody to hug me." THEN CHRISTINE TAPPED MY SHOULDER AND SHE HUGGED ME! God is really powerful and awesome. Remember in my notes there was this line, "God touches us through one another." GOD IS SO GREAT! :D then she hugged me and i couldn't stop crying again. hahahaha. so we queued and stuff. then my turn, i got aunty fung fong. when she asked me if i had any special prayer request, i said i wanted to pray for my spiritual life. so she annointed me with oil, put her hand on me and started praying. whoa, this time right, i really really really couldn't stop crying. then i don't know, i started feeling some tingling in my legs. so i started reciting somehow in my head, 'i don't wanna fall i don't wanna fall i don't wanna fall.' then i didn't fall! hahaha. but i cried like ohmygosh.
when i went back to my seat, christine was still being prayed for, so i was sitting there crying to myself. then suddenly somebody put a hand on my shoulder, and esther started praying for me! I WAS STUNNED. i thought it'll be my mom or some other adult or something. BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE ESTHER. i was so so so so so so so touched, when she prayed i cried really really really badly. my shoulders were like shaking and stuff, and esther hugged me :D ahahah! Praise God! christine was slain by God to the ground too, and so was my mom. Amen. (: that night, we had mass revival and i was very very very very very {x 100000000000000 infinity} touched. God is so great so powerful so wonderful so awesome so fantastic that i can't stop praising him! :D
then after that we went back to our rooms alr. === DAY 4! so sad, our last day alr ): BREAKFAST :D AHAHAH. we finished super quickly so we could spend our last few hours with the fishes ): then had camp closing. PRIZE PRESENTATION! muahahah.
our group won 2nd for the poster design! thanks to tianyuan! :D WHEEEEE!
then... *drumroll* muahahahhahahahahahaaha... WE WON CHAMPION FOR AMAZING RACE! MUAAHAHAHAAHAH! KAMSAHMNIDA IS THE LOVE ;D HAHAHAH! then finished up, prayed and thanked everybody involved in this camp.
then my group took a group photo, but many people weren't there! like the lams, and the bais :X then clara, she is crazy! she made us do: 1 2 3 hello kitty! with twists. omg lah. hhahaha but very cute :D
OUR LAST MEAL, LUNCH DDD: WHAHAHA. then left malaysia for singapore! (:
the minute i boarded the bus i alr started missing churchcamp lah D: grrr. so sad. churchcamp comes every 2 years only DDDD: nvm! time flies! HAHAHA.

P/S there are 3 guys in chosen generation whom i think are cute, 1 didn't come for camp D: but the other two were VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY CUTE :D ahahahah! plus one of them is christine's 2nd brother muahahah :D
